
TAWAU: A headmistress and a company manager claimed trial to committing criminal breach of trust (CBT) and abetting.
Aminah Pilie, 52, and company manager Mohammad Noorazrin Jufrey, 27, made the plea separately before Sessions Court Judge Abu Bakar Manat, Wednesday.
Both of Aminah and Mohammad have two charges against them.
On the first count, Aminah is accused of breaching the trust given to her as the headmistress of SK Kunak 2, by approving the payment of RM1,000 to JS Enterprise for co-curriculum supply in which there was no implementation of the supply on Feb 14, 2018 at the headmistress’ room in the school. On the second count, she allegedly committed the same offence by approving another payment of RM1,000 for the same purpose on March 8, 2018 at the same place.
The charges stated that the money was taken out from the school’s current account in Kunak Maybank.
The offence under Section 409 of the Penal Code carries a jail term of between two and 20 years, and whipping, and liable to a fine, on conviction.
Meanwhile, Mohammad on the first to second count, is accused of abetting Aminah to commit criminal breach of trust at the same place and time.
The court set Dec 7 for mention and released the duo on a bail of RM10,000 with RM4,000 deposited in a local surety each.
The duo was also ordered to report to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission once in two months and their passports, if any, to be impounded by the court until the disposal of their case.rosecuting Officer Dzulkarnain Rousan Hasbi appeared for the prosecution.
