Joelinton says he's feeling more confident in himself at Newcastle United this season.
Since he has handed the number nine shirt to Callum Wilson and started playing towards the wing he has had a much more positive impact.
Speaking to talkSPORT he said: “I haven't scored that many since I've been here, but I'm working really hard and they will come.
"I hope to get in the goals as soon as possible. I'm confident they are coming."
Speaking of the burden of expectation, he said: “I knew the pressure involved and the start was good, but when things aren't happening on the pitch the demands really ramp up.
“I've always tried to leave that to one side. Whenever I go out on the pitch I try to do my best. Sometimes that happens and sometimes that doesn't.
“I never let my head go down and I never give up. I keep working and trying. The pressure is not just on me, but also on all players and we need to know how to deal with that."
