Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo has urged fans to be patient.

Ronaldo and United have battled for consistency this season.

He told Sky Sports: "We are in a moment where Manchester (United) make some changes: they buy me, they buy Varane and Sancho. The adaptation will take time, even the system we play. But I think we must step by step get it into our heads that anything is possible.

"I'm not just talking about my individual things, I put the collective first. Winning things as a collective makes it easier to win individual things, I still think it is possible. Everyone should know their role.

"I know my role in the team, in the club ... my role is to score goals, to help the team with my experience and knowledge to understand the game. If everyone thinks so, sacrifices themselves for the team, I think we will become a better team.

"We have fantastic supporters behind us, fantastic arena, fantastic team, so we have to continue like that."
