Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman has lost centre-back Ronald Araujo for their clash with Valencia this Sunday.

The Uruguay international underwent medical tests on Thursday, which confirmed that he has suffered a hamstring injury in his right leg, reports Marca.

As such, he will be unable to play in Barcelona's next game, and no time frame for recovery has yet been given for his return.

Araujo picked up the injury in Uruguay's World Cup qualifier against Argentina on Monday, October 11.

Barcelona have had bad luck recently with injuries after Sergino Dest sprained his ankle playing for the United States.

The right-back has since returned from injury and will be fit to play against Valencia on Sunday, but Araujo will be forced to watch on from the sidelines.
