Manchester City assistant manager Juan Manuel Lillo is wanted in Argentina.
Marca says Racing Club are in the market for a new coach and have Lillo on their shorlist.
Claudio Úbeda will leave in December when the Argentine season concludes and Racing are now seeking a replacement.
Lillo is on the radar, along with Celta Vigo's Eduardo Coudet and Hernán Crespo.
The veteran coach moved to City last season to replace Mikel Arteta after he was named Arsenal manager.
