Tottenham chief Fabio Paratici insists there was little chance of Juventus signing PSG striker Mauro Icardi.
The former Inter Milan ace has long been linked with the Bianconeri, but Paratici insists they were never close to landing the striker while he was in charge.
“He was never close to Juve for a series of situations," said Paratici.
"He was under contract with Inter and it was a complicated transfer to work out. Then we had great strikers at Juve and it was tough to find someone better.
“There was a lot of talk about Icardi, but he was never close."
