The long time agent of Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos says he was joining Manchester United before the sacking of David Moyes.
Volker Struth, in his new book, confirmed Moyes' past comments that he had a deal in place for the then Bayern Munich midfielder in 2014.
Struth wrote: "In April 2014, United sent a copy of a contract to Kroos and David Moyes visited him in person.
"United's arguments and the contract were good signs. Kroos agreed to sign for United. I still have the copy, with only Toni's signature missing.
"On April 22, United fired Moyes and we had to start looking for another club again. In the end, Kroos signed for Real Madrid in the summer of 2014."
