Barcelona have 'condemned' the abuse coach Ronald Koeman copped after defeat at home to Real Madrid on Sunday.

There was chaos around Koeman's departure from Camp Nou after Barcelona's 2-1 defeat to Real as fans surrounded his car.

There were many who shouted "out", others who whistled at the Barcelona coach and one fan almost climbed on the car's hood while recording a selfie video.

It has to be noted that there a was a total lack of security measures during Koeman's departure as dozens of fans were able to approach and surround the Dutchman's car.

"FC Barcelona publicly condemn the violent and disdainful acts that our manager experienced when leaving the Camp Nou. The Club will take security and disciplinary measures so that such unfortunate events do not happen again," Barcelona said in a statement.

David Alaba put Real Madrid ahead in the first half of the Clasico and Lucas Vazquez doubled their lead in second-half stoppage time before substitute Sergio Aguero scored one of his own.
