SEMPORNA: The General Operations Force (GOF) foiled an attempt by two men to smuggle 760 packets of subsidised cooking oil to a neighbouring country in the waters of Pulau Mataking, around 6.30am, on Sunday.
Battalion 14 GOF Tawau Commanding Officer Supt. Mohd Yacob Murad said the speedboat with the two suspects was detected in suspicious manner during “Op Benteng” and believed to be heading to the Philippines.
