Newcastle United's new owners are eyeing a move for Chelsea striker Timo Werner.
That's according to BILD's football chief Christian Falk.
Falk states the presence of Swiss defender Fabian Schar is key to Newcastle's interest in the Germany international.
He stated, "Newcastle is interested in Timo Werner.
"The (management) agency of Werner has already a client with Fabian Schär at Newcastle and is regularly in contact with the club."
Werner, 25, has spoken of a potential departure from Chelsea in the past week after a tough first 18 months with the European champions.
