Brazil coach Tite says Leeds United winger Raphinha deserves his place ahead of Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Junior.
Tite has left Vini Jr out of his latest Brazil World Cup qualifying squad.
He said, "He is a great player, with great potential, who is competing with other strikers. It was about choosing the players for this very moment.
"He is one of the three players who created a very diffcult situation for us when they were observed (together with Antony and Raphinha).
"The performances and the work done by Antony (of Ajax) and Raphinha were important and we need a striker who takes up the space well."
