Former Lazio coach Sven Goran Eriksson has sung the praises of Italy boss Roberto Mancini.
Eriksson worked with Mancini at Lazio and Sampdoria.
He told La Gazzetta dello Sport: "Mancini was already a coach on the pitch, there was no doubt: at the European Championship he made a masterpiece, he led a courageous Italy to victory that it deserved.
"(Diego) Simeone had a different character, but he too was a leader: tough on the pitch, tough on the bench, especially tough to beat for his opponents.
"But from (Sergio) Conceição to (Juan) Veron, from (Alessandro) Nesta to (Matias) Almeyda, many of my former players have chosen the bench and this is a real pride. Maybe I have left something."
