Arsenal defender Ben White admits growing up admiring Brighton captain Lewis Dunk.

White revealed earlier this month that he never watched much football growing up and instead preferred playing the sport.

But speaking to the Stadium Astro YouTube channel, White said: “I always watched Dunky [Lewis Dunk] when I was growing up.

“Obviously he was playing every week and had to go to the games so he was my main man that I'd watch."

White had said: "I watch myself for analytical reasons. I watch England, maybe, but I'm always busy doing something. I wouldn't just sit down and watch a game."

Dunk moved into the Brighton first team from the academy in 2010 aged 18 and has gone on to become the club's captain, guiding them into the Premier League in 2017.

White also came through the Seagulls' youth setup after joining the club from Southampton as a teenager.
