Newcastle United are eyeing Bayer Leverkusen attacker Florian Wirtz.
The Toon had a scout posted to watch Wirtz on the weekend in Bayer's 2-2 draw with FC Koln.
It marked only the second time this season that Wirtz was not involved in a direct goal action.
BILD says the scout was in the stands to see the 18 year-old in action.
Father and advisor Hans-Joachim Wirtz has stated several times that a departure for his son would not be possible until the summer of 2023.
