Chelsea have taken Wrexham teenager Daniel Davies on a week-long trial, according to reports.
The Blues faced a summer exodus amongst their youth ranks which has forced them to sign players from non-league teams.
16-year-old left-back Davies has had trial offers from Liverpool, Brighton and Stoke City, butGoal says Chelsea are ahead of the pack.
In an added bonus for the west London club, no compensation would be due should they offer Davies a contract.
Davies, who has featured for Wales' U18 team, has found himself compared to Gareth Bale due to his imposing physicality and impressive left-foot.
