Marcus Rashford is set to make a playing return for Manchester United this week.
The Manchester Evening News says Rashford is set to take his next step towards a return to match fitness when he features for Manchester United in their latest behind-closed-doors friendly this week.
Rashford, 23, is yet to feature for United at any level this season having been sidelined for almost three months after undergoing shoulder surgery in the summer.
The England international returned to contact training with his club teammates last week and is now set to play his first minutes in a friendly match at Old Trafford on Wednesday.
It will be the third such friendly United will have played this season, having also faced Stoke and Burnley in recent behind-closed-doors encounters.
If all goes well, there is a chance Rashford could return to the United squad for their trip to face Leicester after the international break on October 16.
