SANDAKAN: A 35-year-old man sustained serious injuries when his three-tonne lorry collided with a Toyota Hilux (pic) at Mile 17, Jalan Labuk, here, Saturday.
Sandakan Fire and Rescue Station Chief Jimmy Lagung said a 12.42pm distress call prompted nine firefighters led by Syamzari Ghani to the scene some 25km away.
The team assisted the injured man out of the lorry before applying early aid on his. He was subsequently rushed to the Duchess of Kent Hospital in an ambulance.
