Atalanta have lost Matteo Pessina to a thigh strain.
The midfielder is facing two months with the injury suffered in defeat at home to AC Milan.
It's another heavy blow for Atalanta, who have already lost Robin Gosens for at least two months with a similar muscular tear.
Pessina has withdrawn from Italy's Nations League squad and will now begin his recovery.
There's hope he will be available in December.
