Leicester City edged Brighton on penalties to reach the Carabao Cup quarter-finals after an enthralling 2-2 draw.

Harvey Barnes had opened the scoring early on for the hosts before a wild end to the first-half.

Adam Webster levelled the scores three minutes into stoppage time, only for Ademola Lookman to make it 2-1 before the half-time whistle blew.

The Seagulls managed to equalise again after 71 minutes through Enock Mwepu.

Albion striker Neal Maupay was the first to miss from the penalty spot, hammering his effort over the bar.

Danny Ward became the hero when he denied Mwepu's low kick and booked Leicester a spot in the last eight.
