Pep Guardiola has promised Manchester City will be back next year after their Carabao Cup run came to an end against West Ham United.
City had won the last four Carabao Cups, but were eliminated by penalties on Wednesday.
"An incredible run has finished (but) we finished in a good way," said Guardiola after the game.
"We played in a really good way, creating chances against a team who defended deep.
"On penalties they were better. Congratulations to West Ham.
"Next year we will be back."
