Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford was happy to score in victory at Tottenham.

Rashford's late goal made sure there would be no nervous moments in the closing stages and it was his third goal in four games since returning from shoulder surgery earlier this month.

“It's a great feeling, at 2-0 the last 10 or 15 minutes it can be a nervous end if they get a goal so to get the goal eased a lot of pressure, but we stayed connected and tight and kept a clean sheet," he said.

United had faced a "difficult week" as Rashford described it but they recovered superbly from the 5-0 defeat to Liverpool and Rashford admitted the players had to work harder today.

"I mentioned how we lost it, it's embarrassing and we've responded the only way we all know which is to put your head down and work hard," he said.

"We know we've got the ability to hurt teams but we have to work harder than we did against Liverpool and today we did that and got the result."
