Rafael van der Vaart has lavished praise on Tottenham star Son Heung-min.

Former Spurs midfielder van der Vaart played with Son when he was just a youngster at Hamburg.

And the Dutchman thinks the 29-year-old could stay at the north London club for life.

"There was only one player I felt...he's the one and that was Sonny," he said about seeing the South Korean play in Germany, on N17 live.

"Then we start playing together and we were so good together. Every time when I see him scoring here [Tottenham Hotspur Stadium]. I'm so happy for him.

"He's so humble, he's so thankful that he's playing here. I think he could stay his whole life here."
