Roma midfielder Gonzalo Villar has spoken since being dropped for yesterday's 0-0 draw with Napoli.
Villar was axed to the stands after featuring in Thursday night's Europa Conference League thrashing by Bodo/Glimt.
He posted to social media this morning: "I have respected and sweated this shirt in every training and match since my first day here, last year I experienced incredible moments that now I do not forget despite receiving many insults after playing very badly the first half of a game after a long time without playing.
"I really wanted to be on the pitch the other day, I saw it as my opportunity to show that I can be useful, but sometimes you don't succeed as what happened."
