Watford boss Claudio Ranieri is looking to create stability around the team in the coming matches.

The Hornets were extremely poor in Ranieri's first game against Liverpool in the league, before scoring five goals against Everton in a 5-2 win in their next fixture.

As they prepare to take on Southampton, Ranieri wants to bring a sense of stability and calm to the team, as they look to avoid relegation back to the Championship.

"I would like to have a team that is stable in their performance," said Ranieri, per the Watford Observer.

"I would like to be consistent in every situation because it's important also to move up the table.

"Sometimes you can get three points, sometimes you can't get three points and then it's much more important to get one point than nothing."
