Newcastle United winger Allan Saint-Maximin admits he is targeting next year's World Cup.
The France international is aiming to play his way back into Les Bleus coach Didier Deschamps' plans.
He told Canal+: "I have goals and it goes through Les Bleus, there is the World Cup, I also have the Champions League in mind so of course I hope that with the takeover of the club, my desires, my ambitions will be able to be in line with everything that is happening at the moment. I'm pretty happy with what's going on for the club right now, I hope the best is still to come."
On Newcastle's recent takeover, Saint-Maximin added: "The takeover before being good news for the players, it is above all very good news for the supporters, for the club. There is a lot of pressure right now, we will do everything to win. The takeover of the club also goes through staying up, we are really very focused on that at the moment."
