Amid speculation of considering the future of Ronald Koeman, Laporta has resumed contact with Xavi after going cold over the summer.
The pair hadn't spoken since December, but Laporta has taken the opportunity this week to resume contact.
Mundo Deportivo says Laporta offered Xavi an update on his plans for Koeman, insisting the decision to confirm the Dutchman remains solid.
Both Laporta and Xavi are satisfied after having retaken contact and sources have highlighted the good feelings of their conversation, thus recovering a relationship that had always been excellent.
