Manchester United powerbrokers are agreed in their plans to bid for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.
The Manchester Evening News says manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and football director John Murtough have a mutual agreement that Haaland is a priority option.
United suffered a major blow in the winter of 2019, when after protracted talks, the Norwegian forward opted to join Borussia Dortmund from RB Salzburg.
Executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward flew out to negotiate with Haaland and his agent Mino Raiola, although attempts to cut his representative out of a deal proved a major stumbling block.
Since signing for Dortmund, the 21-year-old has gone from strength to strength, plundering an astonishing 68 goals in 67 games in all competitions.
His physical style looks perfectly matched for the Premier League and his €75million release - which becomes active next summer - marks the chance to seal what, on paper, looks a monumental bargain.
Solskjaer and Murtough held transfer talks in September, with a view on stealing a march on some of their rivals.
