THIS photo was taken in 2016 in Cameron Highlands. At the time, the sunrise over the hills and Boh tea plantations were still stunning with the 3 Ls (Light, Luck, and Location). We knew of the best spots for early morning shooting and were lucky with the light on several occasions. That particular day, the mist in the lower valleys, the clear sky, and the nice, not too strong sun coming over the horizon behind a hill produced a fantastic opportunity for a very serene landscape capture like this one.
Unfortunately, the uncontrolled and irrational developments of plastic greenhouses, the rapid deforestation and the construction of buildings of all sorts among other issues have completely destroyed the scenery in the region and in particular that spot.
Now, it is virtually impossible not to have human construction in any view. Even though Cameron Highlands area is just 1 hour and 30 minutes away from home, it is a place where I will no longer go. – The Vibes, October 10, 2021
