Barcelona are ready to make a move for Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani in January.
That's according to local journalist Jose Alvarez, when speaking on the set of El Chiringuito.
Cash-strapped Barca want to sign an experienced centre-forward on-loan for the second-half of the season and Cavani, reports Alvarez, fits the bill.
Cavani has found himself relegated to a backup role since Cristiano Ronaldo's arrival in August, though started in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Everton.
A family friend told Catalan press sources last week "maybe, maybe" when asked about the idea of a move to Barca for Cavani.
