The family of former Newcastle chairman Freddy Shepherd has offered support for the club's takeover.
The Shepherd family have released a statement following the club's takeover.
It read: "We would like to wish His Excellency Yasir Al-Rumayyan, Amanda Staveley and Rueben Family the best of luck in the future.
"With sound investment and community inclusion we hope the Geordie nation will be galvanised in their desire to return this great club back to its rightful place - at the top of European football on and off the pitch."
