Manchester United striker Joe Hugill hit a hat-trick in the U18's 5-0 rout of Newcastle United on Saturday.
A hat-trick from former Sunderland prospect Hugill plus goals from Sam Mather and Sam Murray ensured the Reds returned home with three points in the Under-18 Premier League.
Along with his goal, Murray also provided two assists on the day.
Next for United, they will face Middlesborough at home in a lunchtime league game on Thursday, before hosting Wolves in the Under-18 Premier League Cup on 16 October.
