Arsenal home fans enjoyed winding up Aston Villa goalkeeper Emi Martinez during Friday night's victory.

Mikel Arteta's side were leading at the break 2-0 after Thomas Partey opened the scoring and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored his fourth goal of the Premier League campaign in the final stages of the first half.

But the Arsenal captain wouldn't beat former Gunners teammate Martinez from the penalty spot. Instead, he had to tuck away the rebound.

Ten minutes into the second half, Villa found themselves three down.

Emile Smith Rowe got in on the act on the 55th minute when his effort on goal was deflected off Tyrone Mings before the ball struck the post and found the back of the net.

Arsenal fans were then heard, reports the Birmingham Mail, booing Martinez and chanting in the stands: "Aaron Ramsdale, he's better than you."

The Argentine went into the game declaring he felt mistreated by the Gunners over the years he was with the Londoners.
