Mat Ryan is delighted with his move to Real Sociedad.
The former Brighton goalkeeper joined La Real last summer.
He told Mundo Deportivo: "Villarreal was interested in me. And there was another team from Europe that was very interesting for me that called me and for which I would have signed before coming to Real if there was no Brexit. After Brexit, I occupied a non-EU position and it could not be.
"I did think when I was injured that, had I chosen another option, I would not have been injured, but I am very comfortable. I feel that I have not shown my best level in the LaLiga. I really want to do it. The La Real fans don't know me either. I hope to be able to play in front of the fans very soon."
