Zvonimir Boban admits his battle with AC Milan's owners remains ongoing.
The former Milan great was dumped as technical director last season.
"I am in dispute with Elliott, "Boban told SportWeek, "with Milan I will never be able to be.
"The current team is not yet at the level of the real Milan we had in mind with (Paolo) Maldini, but it is already a team that can compete. On the choices made by the club, time has proved me right.
"The story the team is experiencing is the daughter of (Zlatan) Ibrahimovic's return, his impact has been devastating, as a phenomenon. (Sandro) Tonali is also phenomenal."
Also speaking of Daniel Maldini's goal against Spezia, he added: "I was excited too, we would all have rejoiced like Paolo. Luckily he remained as manager, he has grown a lot and has reached a great level."
