Benitez says he held talks with Richarlison about his Everton future earlier this week.
Richarlison gave an interview to Brazilian media where he said he "didn't know" what the future holds, though the forward also stressed he was still enjoying life at at Goodison Park.
"Yesterday I had lunch with him and he was happy," said Benitez.
"We talked about the future and his situation. It was a very nice conversation and everything was positive."
