Steven Gerrard has confirmed he has followed Antonio Conte's lead by banning ketchup at Aston Villa.
Conte has radically transformed Tottenham's diet restrictions since taking over as manager.
And Gerrard, who recently Dean Smith at Villa Park, is doing the same.
Asked at his first pre-match press conference whether ketchup has been red-listed at Villa Park, Gerrard said: "It was banned before I had seen it!
"The players have to have the right mentality. Go above and beyond. They need to strive to be elite."
