Diogo Dalot plans to dig in his heels at Manchester United.

The Sun says the fullback is determined to stay at United and fight for his place after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked.

The defender has firmly been second choice to Aaron Wan-Bissaka this season and spent last term on loan at AC Milan.

Speculation that former manager Jose Mourinho wants to reunite with Dalot at Roma has been rife in recent weeks, but the 22-year-old is keen to stay put at Old Trafford and compete for a regular spot in the post-Solskjaer era.

Dalot is 'convinced' his future lies in Manchester, despite seeing less than 90 minutes of Premier League football this season.

Dalot will be hoping to make his mark before the January transfer window, with Michael Carrick now in charge as caretaker and the club set to appoint an interim boss until the end of the season.
