Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott has begun outside training.
The Liverpool Echo reports Elliott has taken the next step in his rehabilitation from the serious ankle injury that halted the promising start to his campaign.
Elliott was running on the outside pitches at the Reds' training complex at Kirkby on Monday morning for the first time since suffering a fracture dislocation of his left ankle and damaged ligaments at Leeds United on September 12.
The 18-year-old subsequently underwent successful surgery before embarking on his recovery back to full fitness.
Elliott has posted regular updates on social media regarding his progress, and last month revealed he was working in the club's gym while also jogging alongside the swimming pool at the training ground.
Now the youngster has started exercises outside while having also been photographed taking part in some ball work inside.
