Valencia coach Unai Emery was delighted with his players after their 1-0 win against Getafe.
Manu Trigueros scored the winner for the Yellow Submarine on Sunday.
Emery said, “We've put in a serious performance, and we didn't concede many chances. We scored early and we had chances to score a second. We put in a complete performance, but it was a tight result and the game was open.
"We needed to focus, we did and I'm proud."
He underlined how the team had improved with regards to previous games: “We got the three points, which was necessary. We've got them after improving how we've been playing, controlling the game in defence, stopping the opposing team's transitions and generating danger in attack."
