Manchester City have moved top of Group A with a comfortable 4-1 win over Club Brugge in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Phil Foden broke the deadlock by converting a cross from Joao Cancelo after 15 minutes.

However, Club Brugge were level shortly after when John Stones scored an own goal.

Foden revealed that Guardiola wasn't happy at half-time, and his players responded with an emphatic second-half performance.

Riyad Mahrez restored City's lead by converting another cross from Joao Cancelo.

Raheem Sterling then made it 3-1 by tapping in from Ilkay Gundogan's cross, snapping a 12-game run without a goal.

Gabriel Jesus completed the victory with a simple finish past Simon Mignolet.

With RB Leipzig and PSG playing out a draw in Germany, City are now top of Group A with 9 points from four games.

Speaking after the game, Foden said: "I thought we were sloppy in the first half and let them get back into the game. We got in at half-time and spoke about what was going wrong.

"We changed it in the second half and played better. We looked a bit heavy.

"The manager wasn't happy [at half-time]. You have to take his advice. We changed a couple of things and were better in possession and hurt them a lot more.

"Once we get the rhythm, we play our lovely football. I'm delighted with the second half.

"I'm really happy for them [Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling]. It's important for attacking players to score.

"I'm scoring a lot of goals. I'm just enjoying it.

"It was a really important win today and puts us in a good position."
