Watford midfielder Tom Cleverey says their 4-1 win against former club Manchester United was an exciting game to be involved in.

Joshua King, Ismaïla Sarr, João Pedro and Emmanuel Dennis all found the net in a 4-1 win over the Red Devils, who lost Harry Maguire to a second-half sending off with the score at 2-1.

“It was a dynamic 90 minutes," said Cleverley to the club's website. “I thought we were fantastic first half, I thought we deserved to be further ahead, and then we absorbed a bit of pressure and the sending off swung it back in our favour.

“It's a fantastic result and the key thing is the consistency now over the next few weeks.

“When the dust settles on today we'll see how important they [the three points] were. It's important to have more points than games played. In this league you use that as a marker and we've just got our heads above that.

“Consistency is key. We had a performance like this at Everton and then followed it up with two flat ones so let's go with the same intensity to Leicester."
