England U21 coach Lee Carsley has eased injury concerns for Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun after defeat to Georgia.

Balogun was forced off in the first half of the Young Lions' defeat to Georgia after receiving treatment from medical staff and replaced by Leeds youngster Sam Greenwood.

The striker has only started one Premier League game for the Gunners so far this season, a 3-0 defeat at Brentford on the opening day when Mikel Arteta's side were hard hit by injury.

Asked about Balogun's withdrawal against Georgia on Tuesday, Carsley said: “He had stomach cramps so he was struggling in the first half with that and we took him off.

“He's not injured, he just had a bit of a stomach bug."
