Former Tottenham defender Ramon Vega says the board are responsible for Nuno's sacking.
The manager was dumped today by Spurs.
Vega told BBC Sport: "There is no doubt that whoever runs the club is responsible, somebody has to take responsibility but obviously some of the players are because they are the ones on the pitch that have to show the commitment.
"The Harry Kane scenario, this is exactly the reason why we are here now today. There's no doubt the dressing room went apart and there was unhappiness and I think that when the players don't click together or are not playing as a team you will see that on the pitch.
"From my point of view the Kane saga was a disaster for the club. But there is a responsibility as a player - how he actually acted at that time he didn't act professionally. At the same time you have to play him now, there's not even a question mark.
"The board are not having commitment on the sporting side and investing into it. Yes they are running the club fantastically, you have to give it to them because you also need to give credit to the owners who run the club very nicely financially but at the same time, football is football.
"Fans want to see trophies, fans want to see good football."
