Samir Nasri says former Manchester City teammate Sergio Aguero is hanging up the boots.

The Barcelona striker is currently sidelined after a heart problem was detected a fortnight ago.

Nasri, now a French football pundit, revealed this morning: "He just sent me a message, unfortunately it's confirmed. So I have a lot of trouble. Besides having been the player that everyone knows, who was a phenomenon, he is a very good guy, a very good person.

"I have a lot of trouble because it is not a choice, it is an unfortunately forced stop. I know the love he has for this sport, and to see him stop like that, it pains me a lot. I send him a lot of encouragement, and a lot of love because he's someone I know."
