Brighton hero Mark Lawrenson has hailed the impact of owner Tony Bloom.
Lawrenson who played for Albion between 1977-1981 making over 150 appearances has been impressed with the club, but feels it is down to work behind the scenes that has helped the club establish itself in the top division.
Lawrenson told The Argus: "There is lies the difference, they have made a really good start, they have got lots of points from the 'lesser clubs'.
"The key for Brighton is to take opportunities as they arrive, I think they are at ease with the Premier League now.
"Potter has done a really good job, but for me it goes back to Tony Bloom because without Tony Bloom, who knows where they would be."
