Villarreal coach Unai Emery was furious his side was not given a penalty in Saturday's 3-1 defeat to Barcelona.

Gerard Pique appeared to handle the ball as he blocked a shot in the first half with the game goalless, while Raul Albiol also appealed for a penalty when he grappled with Eric Garcia in the second half with Barça one-up.

"The Albiol one is a penalty, but the [Pique] handball is really clear," Emery said. "I have the feeling that we're not respected, there have been many similar moments now. I don't understand why VAR doesn't analyse these two incidents.

"We will need to ask who is responsible for this mistake. Someone will have to explain what's happened, we have all seen it. It's clear, so clear. Later, for Barça's goal [VAR] did get involved, bad luck."
