Manchester City are pricing Ferran Torres out of a January move to Barcelona.
Barca chiefs Mateu Alemany and Ferran Reverter have been in England in recent days for transfer talks with City directors.
Barca have made an offer of €50m for Torres, which falls well short of City's valuation.
The Sky Blues, says Sport, are demanding €80m to sell the Spain attacker and would prefer to do business at the end of the season.
Barca, meanwhile, have been pushing to take Torres on-loan in January with an obligatory permanent option for June.
