Problems around the PR teams of Manchester United's players were laid bare after the derby defeat to Manchester City.

The Manchester Evening News says Fernandes was forced to delete a post from his Twitter account on Saturday evening after committing a glaring mistake.

His PR team accidentally uploaded a post that was meant for the Twitter account of Arsenal attacker Gabriel Martinelli.

The mistake came just hours after United suffered their fourth Premier League defeat in their last six matches on Saturday lunchtime, going down 2-0 to cross-city rivals Manchester City, who made light work of their opponents.

Fernandes apologised for the performance in an interview after the City defeat, but saw those responsible for his social media accounts commit a big mistake.

They uploaded a photo to his account of Arsenal ace Martinelli, alongside some of his team-mates, celebrating in training ahead of the Gunners' clash with Watford on Sunday, with the caption: 'Gooood vibes'.
