Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku is on track to return from injury early, despite fears that he could be out for a whole month.

The Belgium striker picked up an ankle injury in Chelsea's 4-0 victory against Malmo at Stamford Bridge a fortnight ago and will miss the return leg tonight.

He also missed Chelsea's 7-0 thrashing of Norwich and their 3-0 victory against Newcastle, leaving the Blues three points clear at the top of the league.

Reports suggest that Lukaku will miss Chelsea's clash with Burnley on Saturday, but could return after the international break in time to face Leicester later this month, says The Sun.

Lukaku has failed to score for Chelsea since his goal against Zenit in the Champions League on 14 September, playing another seven games since.

The £97.5m man will look to get back into form quickly with a series of crucial games coming up, including home ties against Juventus and former club Manchester United in the coming weeks.
