Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg asked Denmark colleagues Christian Eriksen and Andreas Christensen for advice regarding new boss Antonio Conte.
His Denmark teammates Eriksen and Christensen have experience with Conte at Inter Milan and Chelsea respectively.
Hojbjerg was speaking after Spurs' 0-0 draw in the Premier League against Everton.
"Obviously I knew him, like the rest of the world, but not personally," he told Danish channel TV3.
"I talked about him with Christian Eriksen, who had him at Inter Milan, and with Andreas Christensen, who crossed paths with him at Chelsea.
"Now with Conte the moment looks positive, because he has a direct and clear manner, on and off the pitch. As a player that is motivating."
